Director of Development
Deirdre comes to De La Salle from Friends Seminary where she was the Director of Annual Giving. Prior to Friends, Deirdre was Director of Annual Giving and Alumnae Relations at her alma mater, School of the Holy Child in Rye, New York. A former human rights lawyer, she worked in the Special Department for War Crimes, Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the Committee on the Administration of Justice in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and at the Pat Finucane Centre in Derry, Northern Ireland. Deirdre holds her B.A. from the University of Albany, J.D. from the City University of New York Law School, and her LL.M. from the Irish Centre for Human Rights, National University of Ireland, Galway. She served for six years on the Board of Trustees at the Cornelia Connelly Center (CCC), a middle school (grades 4-8) empowering girls at risk to reach their full potential. Deirdre is currently a member of the Leadership Council at CCC. In 2018 and 2019, she was Co-Chair of the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS) Institutional Advancement Conference.
Associate Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations
Saki Mori has 15 years of experience in the New York City nonprofit sector, specifically within the City’s youth development and workforce development programs, that includes direct service, program management, fundraising, organizational operations, and executive management. For the past eight years, she has worked at Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI), an intermediary of New York City's workforce development field. During her tenure she supported the organization to expand its business model of training services to include consulting and systems building. Saki joined De La Salle Academy (DLSA) in October 2020 as the Associate Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations. Outside of DLSA, she serves as the Vice President of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL)-New York Chapter and serves on the Alumnae Board of Convent of Sacred Heart - 91st Street. Saki is a graduate of Trinity College (Hartford, CT) with a dual degree in Political Science (International Relations) and French Language & Literature. She is a 2016 cohort member of Columbia Business School's Executive Education - Developing Leaders Program for nonprofit professionals.
Database and Development Coordinator
Mary-Elaine joined De La Salle in April 2020 as Database and Development Coordinator. She previously served as Development Coordinator at the Rogosin Institute, a nonprofit treatment and research center serving patients with kidney disease. Prior to her time at Rogosin, she served on the development team at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights in several capacities. Mary-Elaine also spent two years in Madrid working as an English language assistant. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
