How to Apply

Your Admissions Portal is your secure, password-protected De La Salle Academy admissions account. You’ll use the portal to begin and complete your application, schedule interview appointments, RSVP for events, request recommendations and transcripts, and most importantly, monitor the progress of your application. To get started, all prospective families MUST complete our Inquiry Form. Once you submit the form, you’ll receive a confirmation email with instructions for accessing your Admissions Portal.IMPORTANT: If you’ve already completed an Inquiry Form OR are an existing DLSA family with a Veracross account, please log directly into your Admissions Portal.

Registration deadline: Friday, January 8, 2027Entrance Exam: Saturday, January 9, 2027The De La Salle Academy Entrance Exam is a three-hour assessment covering:MathematicsWritingReadingReasoning Ability The Entrance Exam is required for all applicants and will be administered at De La Salle Academy on Saturday, January 9, 2027. If your child is unable to take the exam on January 9, please contact admissions@dlsanyc.org to arrange a makeup date.

Deadline: Friday, January 8, 2027Please request official transcripts or report cards for the current and prior school year.You can submit electronic transcript requests directly to your child’s current school through your Admissions Portal. We recommend waiting until after the first marking period before requesting the current-year transcript.All transcripts must be received by Friday, January 8, 2027.

Deadline: Friday, January 8, 2027 DLSA requires two recommendations:One teacher recommendation — from either an English or Math teacherOne principal or counselor recommendation Beginning in November, you can send electronic recommendation requests directly to your child’s teachers, principal, or counselor through your Admissions Portal. All recommendations must be submitted by Friday, January 8, 2027.

Once you have submitted your application and your child has successfully completed and passed the Entrance Exam, you will be invited to schedule your Family Interview through the Admissions Portal. Family Interviews will take place at De La Salle Academy on Thursday, January 28, and Friday, January 29, 2027. The Family Interview is an opportunity for us to get to know your family better, learn more about your child, and answer any questions you may have about DLSA.

Week of Monday, March 1, 2027 Admissions decisions will be available through your Admissions Portal during the week of March 1, 2027.
