You can start by visiting the How to Apply section of the website where you can apply online or download and print paper application forms (in PDF format).
  • Is there an Open House that parents can attend?
Please visit www.ravenna-hub.com to register for our upcoming Open House.
  • In what grades do you accept students?
De La Salle Academy accepts students entering the 6th and 7th grades.
  • What are the criteria for admissions?
It is important to us that we admit students who will be able to have a successful academic career as well as fully participate in the school community.
  • I live outside of New York City. Can my child still apply to De La Salle?
Yes. Anyone can apply to take the test as long as they are available to complete the entire application process in person (admissions test, simulated school day, and personal interview).
  • Does the School provide bus service for its students?
No. De La Salle does not provide a bus transportation service for its students. However, we do provide students with student MetroCards based on how far they live from the school. The majority of our students travel from all over New York City via public transportation.
  • I want my child to take the admissions test. Do I need to pre-register?
Yes! The Entrance Exam is by appointment only. You may register to take the exam by visiting www.ravenna-hub.com
  • Do I have to provide photo I.D. when I bring my child to take the test?
No. Photo I.D. is not required. The only forms required are the completed application forms.
  • Are there any application fees?
No. There are no fees to apply to De La Salle Academy. The student only has to show up for the test with their completed application form.
  • Is financial aid available for the tuition?
Yes. De La Salle has a need-blind admissions policy, which means a family’s financial status is not considered when deciding admissions. Tuition is determined after acceptance, based on a family’s ability to pay.
  • In what high schools do De La Salle graduates traditionally enroll?
The goal of De La Salle’s HS Placement Program is to ensure that every graduate is admitted to a private day, boarding, parochial, or specialized public high school that is best suited for them. A year-long placement program prepares students and parents for the high school admissions process and ensures each student is placed in the best possible environment that continues to challenge and nurture them inside and outside the classroom, provides opportunities to grow intellectually, socially, and spiritually, and to give back as full community participants.
